The 4-month postpartum plan:

Ongoing nutrition support for postpartum recovery.
kelly suggate postpartum clinical nutritionist
In 4 months, you'll not only understand what your body really needs, you'll have the tools to support it.
That changes everything.
Goodbye low energy. Goodbye brain fog.

Hello to finally enjoying motherhood and the woman you've become.

sound familiar?

You've had the baby, sat through a 6-week check, heard "everything looks normal" and walked out feeling anything but..
  • Fatigue that a full night sleep won't fix

  • Brain fog, low mood, or a short fuse that doesn't feel like you

  • Hair thinning, feeling cold all the time, or unexplained skin break outs

  • A gut feeling that "something's off", even though your last bloods came back "normal"

  • Being told it's just new motherhood, when it's been months (sometimes years), not weeks

  • Rushing through each day, always feeding the baby, but never feeding yourself properly

  • Left feeling depleted, like you have nothing left in the tank to give.

Postpartum nutrient depletion is common. But common doesn't mean it should be left unaddressed.

What changes when your body finally gets what it needs..

Energy that doesn't run out by 10am..

A clearer head..

Deeper sleep..

Feeling like you're actually present with you baby, not just getting through the day..

.. And most importantly, enjoying these early years of motherhood.

That's what happens when your body finally has what it needs to recover, not just survive.
You'll have someone staying across your bloods, your symptoms, and your stage of motherhood with you, for long enough to see change, not just one appointment and a printed handout to send you on your way.
A 4-month personalised nutrition coaching experience for women after birth. We work together to create a plan that evolves with you, because no two stages of motherhood are the same. You walk away understanding what your body needs and the tools to support it, so you feel energised to be the mother you've always aspired to be.

real life stories

Real women, long-lasting recovery

After the birth of my second baby Kelly was able to suggest some simple, effective changes to enable me to get through a busier day in a healthier and sustainable way. She is a fountain of healthy knowledge and avid  researcher to boot. I would definitely recommend seeing her if you are pregnant or postpartum!

Carlie M - Mum of 2, postpartum

Thanks to Kelly I feel vibrant! Which is what I wanted and the reason I had a consultation with her. I am generally a health person, but postpartum requirements are more complex than I thought. Kelly helped me navigate where I was going wrong and describe exactly what I needed to feel my best.

Sophie G - Mum of 2, postpartum

I met with Kelly after having my third baby to get advice to avoid depletion and boost my energy to keep up with my young children. She was warm and welcomein, and after implementing her recommendations I am already noticing improvement within myself.

Nicole B - Mum of 3, postpartum

Why I built this..

Hi I'm Kelly. Degree-qualified Clinical Nutritionist specialising in women's health and mum of two in the thick of it just like you.

I experienced postpartum depletion myself after my first baby. Exhausted in a way that sleep didn't fix, hair falling out, mouth ulcers, sleep disruption (that wasn't because of the baby), and an overwhelming feeling of anxiety day in and day out. My daughter was 8 months old before I finally had a proper blood test, the first one since I was 30 weeks pregnant. My iron, vitamin D, and B12 were all low and I was suffering postnatal anxiety.

The second time around I did things differently. I was proactive about my recovery and the support I needed to achieve it.

I built this support because I don't want any mum to learn what I learnt slowly. Depletion creeps up on you after months of depriving your body of what it needs (and deserves). It's not your fault, it is easily a consequence of modern motherhood. Trying to be everything to everyone but ourselves.

  • The package is built around the 6 week to 6 month window, with the aim of preventing depletion before it occurs, but recovery doesn't follow a strict timeline, so this may very well benefit you still. Book an application call and we can chat about what is going on and how I can best support you.

  • No. I recommend staying in touch with your GP throughout, and I'm happy to share a summary of your treatment plan to keep them updated on your care.

  • Maybe! Some policies include a rebate for nutrition services from a qualified practitioner, but this varies by fund and policy. Itemised receipts are provided so you can check your eligibility, or we can discuss in your application call.

  • I will send a full service agreement prior to your first appointment which details my full cancellation and refund policy. In short, I will happily reimburse you for any consults which do not go ahead, as long as they are cancelled or rescheduled outside of my strict 24-hour timeframe. I have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy which is to ensure I protect my time dedicated to each appointment, as well as the needs of other patients who may have been able to fill your slot.

  • A single consultation is a great start, but recovery plays out over months, not one appointment. This package builds in five follow-ups, dedicated to tweaking your plan as we go and ensuring you stay accountable to ensure meaningful improvements in your health.

  • No. This package works alongside your existing medical care, not instead of it. I truly believe in collaborative care, so will ensure your medical team receive regular updates as to what we are working on from a nutritional POV. If I notice something outside of my scope that warrants support, I will refer to other registered health practitioners. If you're experiencing persistent low mood, anxiety, or thoughts that concern you, please speak with your GP, a perinatal mental health professional, or contact PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia) on 1300 726 306.

  • A Clinical Nutritionist is a degree-qualified nutritionist (minimum 3 years training, with 360 hours clinical supervision) that works 1:1 to assess a person's health, medical history, and diet to create personalised nutritional and lifestyle plans that help manage or prevent certain medical conditions. A Clinical Nutritionist will start with a thorough case history, analyse your symptoms, evaluate pathology tests alongside diet and symptoms to identify nutrient deficiencies or imbalances in body systems. We are able to recommend specific therapeutic supplements when food intake is not enough to correct a deficiency or support a condition / symptom. Clinical Nutritionists work alongside GPs, allied health professionals, and other medical specialists to support integrated patient care.

  • Maybe! If you don't, I won't be recommending it just for fun. If you have specific symptoms that warrant further investigation, then I will make suggestions as to how we go about uncovering the root cause. Functional testing is an additional cost which I will discuss with you as required.
